St. Christopher's Church

Wannabe is based at St Christopher’s Church, and is one of many

activities that the church provides.

St Christopher’s is an active, worshipping church which believes that the

Christian faith is relevant and important in today’s world.  There is a

Sunday service every week at 9.45 am with lively worship and activities

for children.  Come along one week and see what it is all about.

Throughout the week the buildings are in use with projects that serve

our community.  These include:

Our Good Neighbour Project offers a 'Day Centre' for older people - on Mondays,

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  There is also a lunchtime community

café open on Mondays and Thursday, and fresh fruit and vegetables can be

purchased on Thursdays and Fridays.  For more information contact Elaine O'Connell

on 01274 689898 or click here Good Neighbours

Our Community Furniture Store (run by Good Neighbours) is situated

on the Parade opposite, and is popular as a way of both buying and

disposing of furniture.  For information phone Mike Smith on 01274 680997,

 or click here Good Neighbours.

St Christopher’s is also involved in support work for young families.

Baby Sense is a specialist group for parents and babies/toddlers

and meets on Tuesdays at 10 am.  Earlybirds is a Parent and Toddler

group that meets on Thursdays at 9.20am.  All pre school children are

welcome - from baby state onwards!   For more details about our support

for young families, contact our Family Worker, Margaret Clark - on 01274 652539,

 or click here family work.

St Christopher’s can be found on Holme Wood Rd (where it meets Broadstone Way),
